was giving some new 6x9's for Christmas and now want to put them in the car!

just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the plastic grill on top of the originals, have already stripped the boot for the rest of the sound system and i can see the bottom of the four bolts that hold them in!

i have looked at the speaker grill and can't work out how it comes off, it looks as though it is one piece! :duh:

if anyone could shed some light on the subject i would be most appreciative! :)

hope everyone had a good christmas and had lots of pressies for the car!

Jason :D :D :D

What speakers are you all fitting? Mine are starting to buzz and can't handle some of the song they used to so i'm ready to change them.

Are you all sticking with the standard head unit or adding an amp?

I really want to just change and upgrade the speakers and leave to rest of the system standard anyone got any suggestions on a good set to fit.

:question::question::question:

Same here, took out original todays and fitted 250watt kenwood 7 x 10's fitt lovely just unsure best way to wire up, i dont want to alter existing system any more than necassary. The original speakers come with 4 wire, the replacements only take two. If i only use two do anyone no which of the 4 wires are the best to use and will it be ok.

Cheers.

the problem with the rear speakers are in fact that they are SEPERATE speakers but in the same chassis hence the 4 wires, if you use just 2 wires they will sound sh**e.

there is a helpful sticky guide about this over on .net in the "mobiletronics" section.
