A Pillar Material

have just made a custom pillar pod to mount my ipod into!

However, i need to cover it in some sort of material and am trying to match it to the original material or just the same colour would be nice.

As it is bigger than the original, the material removed from the standard one will not cover the whole thing!

Has anyone ever found material similar, have been round several fabric shops and can't find anything close......or can the material be bought from Lex!

if someone has any idea's then let me know....im going crazy :duh:

Have you tried a local market? The one in Leicester has stalls that sell loads of fabric - I'm sure you could come up with something there that's a close match.....

If you can't find one to match, why not choose one and apply it to both A-pillars so at least they are the same?

had considered doing this, looks like this might be my only option, will post some pictures tonight or mabye tomorrow, looks real good just need to cover it! i have some alcantara but this wont stretch to the form of the pod

don't know yet, im not using it yet as i have no material to cover it with! just have a standard one on it, should be ok, the flash makes it look worse!!!!!!

dont use alacantara.

there is a product called dynamica. looks exactly the same as alacantara but is far more stretchy. is cheaper too.

Contact me via pm and i will tell u where to get it! i am having used in my re-trim.
