Unexpected Abs Operation

Yesterday, when pulling into a car park, my ABS operated for several successive applications of the brake. The only other time I've been aware of the ABS operating was in snow. After restarting to leave, this 'fault' had cleared itself and hasn't occurred since.

Has anyone else had this? Any ideas of a likely cause?

Thanks,

Rich

Had it on a Merc once, in fact it did it all the time but started like yours. It was simply a buid up of crap on one ABS sensor. I just cleaned it all off. It was fine

ABS in my Carina E didn't like cattle grids, well, not the one on the approach to Pontypridd town roundabout off the A470! Braking as I approached the roundabout the cattle grid would activate the ABS every time!
