Some Concerns Rx400h

Recommended Posts

Makes sense, Americans do seem to prefer performance over economy.  Something to do with paying bugger all for fuel compared to us.

prices are rising in the US and people are unhappy.

the concerns on the US are split - some people are not too bothered about the mpg figures, as they want the performance.

but there are those who legitimately wanted an economical vehicle, and are not too happy

VW recently did a comparison compared a Touran with an experimental hybrid vs a CDI and the results were that the turbodiesel had a much better efficiency and better performance...

so the conclusion is ... if you can pick a turbodiesel ... it will be the better choice B)

 Hi guys, have you been reading the US of A economy reports on the RX400h, I lot of negatives, 67MPH on the flat returning 27MPG, some guys crawling around getting 22MPG!!!. Thats not so good is it.

The posts you refer to are from US cars' computer readings, which you in a previous post for you RX300 claimed were inaccurate.

Secondly the US gallon = 3.785412 litres and the UK gallon = 4.556092 litre.

When you read on a US forum that the return is 27mpg that would equate to approx 33mpg in the UK.

Think about it. It could be even better for the GS450h.........

Just to balance things up a bit, here is another quote from the US forum:

"Drove home tonight from work, and got 36.3 MPG!! Wahoo! I'm in love with this car."

That is 36.3 miles per US gallon, or 43.7 miles per UK gallon.

Not bad at all....
