 Hi Folks,

By necessity I have to leave my LS400 1990 outside now all year. It requires covering for water gets into the boots somehow. So, any advice on this? Anyone use a good outdoors cover you can recommend? Or any other hints to keep the car protected?

All responses truly appreciated.

Hi Carlo

Most of us leave our LS's outside, mine won't fit in the garage anyway.

Have you checked the boot seal as there's no way water should get in? If I were you i'd investigate the problem rather than getting a cover.

Failing that you could move somewhere it doesn't rain.

I hear Riyadh's nice this time of year. :D

As above but it might be worth checking the sun roof drain tubes.

I've not looked in my boot, but a friends' Calibra had drain tubes behind the

side trim in the boot and someone had pulled them up.

Roof drained into boot because tubes did not go through the floor

Just a thought.... :winky:

Thanks for the replies lads. I respect the wisdom of not covering the car & will investigate drainage points. Love this country rain and all!!
