Hi all,

Can anyone shed and light as to whether or not Castrol GTX Magnatec 10w-40 is suitable for the IS200 Sport :question:

Got my 4th service this week, and want to supply the engine oil element myself(otherwise it's like a tenner + VAT/litre!!!)

I was told they use fully synthetic oil :duh:

Also, just confirm that 4.2 litres is the right amount needed for the oil change service?

That oil is fine (I know a Lexus dealer that actually uses the same oil), you do not have to use fully synthetic although I would recommend it if you are doing short journeys or if it will be 12 months before the next change.
