Spark Plugs

Recommended Posts

Remove Air Box.

Remove front Scoop.

You should be able to see the Head.

And 6 coil packs (black things).

Each one has a bolt.

Remove bolts.

Lift out coil packs thus enabling you access to the plugs themselves.

Remove plugs.

Replace.

Reverse above.

OK, I got scared - I took off the air intake & air filter cover. found the 6 black things but one of them is covered by a cover which surrounds the oil cap.

I was concerned as I wasn't sure if the bolts connecting the plugs had a special torque setting (I'm no mechanic) - ask me about IT instead!

Anyway, look forward to seeing how The Don get's on!

just whip off that cover, dont worry about the torque settings as its not a load bearing item and is purely cosmetic.

whole job took me less than 30 mins and i realy took my time.

Once the black bolt holding the coil pack is out then the whole unit pops off and lifts out (dont forget to remove the plug)

Use a specific spark plug socket to lift out the plug, and replace only doing it up by hand and not by wrench until it is all the way in and tight.

then do it up as per box directions to compress the washer.

Dont be worried. take your time and its nice and simple
