New Tyres

I've just had to pay out for 4 new tyres -- eeek. All had worn on the inside rather than the outside and the chap told me he sees it a lot with the GS.

Anyway, Bracknell Tyre & Battery gave a great service - the Dunlop's came in at £129 per tyre, which was about £30 less than the next cheapest place I tried!

The Dr did my geometry a few weeks ago and I reckon that I get 25 to the gallon now as opposed to the 22 I got before it was done.

Just done a quick calc as below and this is what I've seved in fuel alone

MPG - Miles - Gallons - Litres - Cost/Litre - Total Cost

22 - 2500 - 113.64 - 516.49 - 0.869 - £448.83

25 - 2500 - 100 ----- 454.5 -- 0.869 -- £394.96

Saving £53.87

That nearly covers the cost of the Geo being done, add to that the savings in tyre wear and i'm quids in :D

To top it all the car handles sooooooo much better. If people don't get it done they must be mad, with the exception of course of the members of the "really low" club who have no option.

You need to get your wheel alingment set up asap Claire G.

Here, there what ever, the geometry needs to be tested "fact". save yourself £s and go for it :D i'm sure you know we here can support any outcome.

My tyres are bald on the inside too :( Popping across to Bracknell tyre and Battery who have saved the day - £115 each for a couple of 275/35/18 FK451's was much better value even than blackcircles.com AND they could get 'em in next day! wahey!!
