Creaking Sound When Braking And Turning?

Recommended Posts

Finally got the car of my dreams, an IS200 Sport -00! Such a difference from my old car, a Saab 9-3 Turbo -01!!

But there is a little problem, i get a creaking sound when braking and turning the steering wheel at low speeds, i have read some old posts at this forum but it isn´t really clear to me...

Is it the brake pads that make that noice? If so, is it really a problem? Should i claim my warranty?

You may just need your pads copper greasing to stop them moving in the caliper.

It may be the crap guard around the disc that is touching and it needs pushing out.

Where exactly is the noise coming from? What's it sound like? Can you be more specific?

I´ve been listening for the sound tonight and is sounds like wet rubber against steel, seems like the sound is more frequent when it raines outside...

It sounds like it´s coming from the powersteering but it´s not there everytime i turn the wheel....I have to drive and turn the wheel slightly and slowly for the sound to appear!

Seems also as if it is not hearable from outside the car but i´m not sure...

Everything functions as normal, the steering, the brakes and the suspension....
