Does anybody know where i can get hold of a fascia adaptor for a 1994 LS400 to enable me to use my own DIN sized cd player rather than the standard fit radio?? I've tried searching on the Autoleads website and i've searched the web. Cant find a thing!!

Cheers!

When i put the a new HU in my car, i pulled the old HU out, made a panel the same size with a single Din hole in it for the new HU and covered it in vinyl. I dont know of any of the shelf items that a re made for it but this is pretty easty to do. Good luck

Hi, if you do a search for ls 400 on ebay.com they come  up on there.

You're right! i was only searching on UK eBay, but i did a worldwide search and some came up in the US. I'll order one from there as they were only $22.

Cheers Mate!!!!

Yeah, i was thinking of trying to make my own, or maybe get someone to make one for me. I did find them in the United States on eBay thanks to trackerman, so i'll probably order one from there? if i have problems getting one, then i'll probably have a go at making my own.

Cheers!!

  • 1 year later...

Anyone know where to get a wiring kit or harness kit to connect an after-market stereo to the amplifier unit in a mk3 LS400 ?

Tried AutoToys.com (where I've ordered up a fascia (dash kit), but they don't do the wiring for the mk3....only the mk2

TIA

Justin

I got an adpter from the US for it it was cheaper than buying one in this country and that included the shipping, it fitted like a glove and doesnt look out of place.

I can pass on details if anyone wants them.

As for the wiring kit, you can use the standard toyota one but it does not allow the ampilfier to work, the stereo will work fine with the speakers, but the Amp and Sub on the rear shelf will not work until you sort out some other wiring for it :)
