Advice On Parts

My fellow Lexi,

Can anyone offer me any advice or recommendations on where to go for parts and fitting?

My problem is that I have a 96LS and the time has come for replacing worn parts.

Anti roll bar bushes, brake discs and pads, Springs? and Shocks.

I have a gas conversion which because of the weight pulls rear down slightly and have asked Lexus and Toyota for prices.Lexus have failed to respond except saying no uprated springs available, Toyota says same and they have said 2500+

I know that threads exist on this excellent site but can anyone steer me in the right direction, as I am not mechanically minded I have to find someone.

You're probably best off buying the parts and getting a decent local garage to fit them for you.

I need to get some new disks and pads and was thinking of ordering from atozmotors.co.uk as they are half the price of Halfords but not used them before so don't know quality (they say they're Mintex so should be fine!)

Suspension parts seem best to order from the US. Search the forum for Sewells and Olympus. Stock up on oil and air filters when you order!!!

Uprated suspension is available but i think they will lower the car slightly and might sacrifice the ride quality.

You could always try Roys Motor Company in Norwich - if that's not too far. They are genuine Lexus specialists with many years' experience, and are a lot cheaper than going to a main agent. It's where I take my '96 LS!
