Upgrading Sky+

before i go spending hours on the fone to sky, can anybody advise on these symptoms?

fone line connected ok, can still watch all sky channels, but cannot record or set reminders, manual record etc. Drive has been wiped (poss as a result of the full reset i did)

have done housekeeping+various different repowers etc but still comes up with the "call the helpdesk" box.

has the drive had it? and if so canst thou recommend a drive i can whack straight in without a) spending hours shopping around and B) don`t have to mess around with upgrading fans etc

Anything that comes ready in less than 8 seconds should work OK - Maxtopr drives are known to give good results.

I have the original 40Gb drive from my Sky+ box here if you want to make an offer for it.

Ive just upgraded my Sky+ to 160 gig and and i got stuck because service 401 wasnt working for me.So i did a google search and i was directed here and it solved my problem. Thanx Guys. It really is a small world isnt it
