Milage Different On Sat Nav And Odo

When my car last had a service I reset the tripB on the Odo and set the Maintenance Option on the Sat Nav to 10,000 miles.

Now according to my Odo I am about 1,200 miles away from needing a service, but according to the Nav only 850 miles

I would expect a smalll difference or none at all but seems quite a difference.

Anyone else noticed this?

Over 10,000 miles, a 350 mile difference is nothing . So its only 3.5% out which is nothing really. Sat Nav will calculate the 'true' mileage covered so the speedo will be approx 3.5% out which is about normal.

also if you change your wheel or tyre size's they can have an effect too

And the speedo won't take into account reversing (add it up over 10K miles...) I don't think?

Mate how did you do that on yr sat nav, I got sat nav too and didnt knw you had a maintenance option??
