Constant Knocking Noise

As per title my is200 its coming from the front drivers side (i think) i hear it when im driving with my window up its doin my head in does anyone think it maybe the top strut mount?

Check the shockers as well. im dont know much about the IS200 but in other cars a knocking noise on every bump and grid in the road that does your head in can often be the shocker. a simply way to test a shocker is check to see if their is alot of bounce. it should bounce once or twice... anythin more its an obv sign.

I have this problem with the RX. Everybody said drop link . Fitted a new drop link but that wasn't the problem. New top mount being fitted tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes.

Lexus Stockport test drove it and they say Top mount / or shock but top mount would be the priority.

Had the Top mount fitted this morning and the problem is cured. The knocking sound has gone. Less than an hour labour.

it may possible be coming from the ball joints, i have just had my new ones fitted, they use to make this noise when i would either have the car on full lock going up my path or going over speed bumps, it may be them,

well since that time i replaced all my standard shockers and bought a tein set up from e bay exact same problem except bit louder would i jus buy a set of new standard top mounts or does it have to be special one's cause its the tein coilovers??
