Auto Window Closing

Recommended Posts

Hello folks,

Has anyone ever had any probs with the auto-close feature on the driver door window in the IS200.

When I double click the button upwards to close the window automatically all the way up, it does go up but then hits the top and comes back down halfway!!

The only way to fully close the window is to hold the button until it is fully closed but to make sure that I don't double click the button as it will simply come back down after I let go!

I assume it is something to do with the safety feature for the auto-close in that if it hits something on the way up it will stop and go back down!

Problem is that I think the sensor is not setup right and the window prob doesn't realise that it is all the way up so it thinks that something is blocking it!#

Help on how to solve this or adjust the sensor etc would be fantastic! :D

there is a mini relay switch on the end of the auto window closure which is like a lever... that is depressed when the window reaches the top of the frame.

if this switch is left open, the safety feature causes the window to reopen when it encounters resistance at the top of the frame... just make sure the switch is working and located in the correct place for it to be pressed and released by the window in its channel.

(this is my theory from how the safety feature works in auto closure windows from a Mitsubishi colt, so i would assume the same here)

double ckick?...i only gotta click mine once for auto up/down...its a pain in the arse to get it to stay at half way

press the window switch lightly only half way. that is how u take manual control of the window. for full auto open / close, pull or press the switch completely.
