CD players have an extended warranty period of 5 years :)

Also, try giving the side of the centre console a whack to shake it into work...

D.

well,i was driving around and i wanted to change cd,and it jamed again now i cant play cd`s atall! now i have removed the fuse, and it dosnt work...tryed to "hitt it" in the side...

i called lexus and they just told me that i had to go to my local toyotaGarage, and so i did. when i told them what the problem was,the dident mention any waranty, and said that the would just change the unit, and they would send the unit to a specialist that fix it,and the dident know how mutch it would cost:/

i dont know what to do:(

and another thing i was wondering about, can you play burnd cd`s in the oem player?

Home-burned CD's are not recommended due to their thickness which can give errors on the OEM CD player.

ok,i tryed once,butt i didnt work.

well i just spoke to toyota and the woudent change the stereo on the waranty:(

it was only 3 years, butt the did have an exchange-deal if i payed about 640£ ill gett a new one,and they send me the cd`s ther were in the old one...

I had a similar problem. It was a bought CD. I put it into the player disc 2 and it just made a funny wirring noise. It then wouldn't recognise that there was a cd in disc 2 . All the other 5 were fine. It let me load a cd into disc 2 (although i knew that there was already one in there). This just made the same noise then switched over to another disc. The second disc was able to eject and load ok still but wouldnt play.

After doing this about 4 or 5 times it ejected both discs from disc 2 at the same time. It now works fine again and have not had any more problems.

Hope this makes some sort of sense :duh:
