Sat Nav Dvd 2004/2005 V2?

Recommended Posts

Been asked a question which I hope someone can answer for me?

Relatives had a GS 300 SE 2002 model with SAT NAV and they bought the upgraded DVD which is 2004 / 2005 V2 for it. I've tried this disc in a friends IS 200 2004 model and it works fine - also works fine in my 03 GS430 sport.

They are looking to upgrade to an RX 300 SE-L registered in July 2003. Anyone know if this disc will work in it?

Many thanks

Almost certainly it will. If you get the chassis number of the RX then Lexus will let you know what is compatible. Lexus Bolton Parts Dept. did this for me recently when I upgraded my 02/02 IS300. Have to admit that 2004/5 Ver 2 does not give much extra compared to 2002 Ver 1. Just more obscure countries in Europe for the most part as far as I can see so far.

The answer is YES..

Had bought v2 2004/5 disc for my GS and only had it installed about 3 weeks when I was hit from behind by a Toyota rav4 and ended with the car wrote off :tsktsk:

Anyway cutting a long story short I now have got myself a june 03 RX se/nav and the disc works 100%.

Great vehicle by the way.

Nigel

Thanks everyone for the replies - I thought it might work but you've both confirmed it for me now. I'm looking forward to having a go in the RX - seems a really nice car.
