Who Uses Realplayer?

those of u that use realplayer, can u get radio 1 on it?? i have been trying all day and i just keep getting an error message!

mmmmm pish seems to be a prob at my end, it just wont connect, i can get other stations ( virgin, kiss etc) but not radio 1

Maybe a routing problem between your ISP and them Rob, does RP just not connect then?

it connects to other stations but just not to radio 1, i will try it without my router but i dont really see that making a difference, evrything else works

Ah right mate I mean a general routing problem between the bbc and your isp - not your router mate ;)

i get a "general error" message with this in it

ok an update - found out that i am not getting realplayer to work because of my router if i take the router of the link realplayer connect straight away.

i had a quick look thru realplayer but could only see UDP settings, anyone got any idea?

apart from getting another router? its a USR 8003 BTW

Erm easn't expecting that :o

My first thought was that maybe NAT was causing the problem but I'm running in a NAT'd setup and that is working fine...

Just checked an mine uses this URL:

rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio1/live/r1_dsat_g2.ra (looks same as yours - can you ping rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk, or mainly does it resolve that to an IP address?)

Can you try that please pal?

What version of the player are you using mate?

Mine's a little different as I use RealOne Player on the Mac.......

I've been through the settings and no proxy settings are specified anywhere...
