Rx300 (1999) Fuel Rate

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I have an RX300 1999 model fully loaded and I just want to know how many km I can get per L or G.

The reason is I'm thinking about getting an IS300 and I just want to be able to compare the 2...

If you know how many kilometres you get from a tank of gas or from 1 Litre or 1 gallon of gas, please reply here thanks.

Also, if you have an IS300 and you know the same stats for that car, let me know. I will also post this under IS300 forum. Thanks

My wife's Harrier/RX300 has the factory trip computer. It says she averages 7.2km/litre for mostly city driving. I've recorded close to 10km/litre on a country trip (1,000km), but it plunges to 5.2km/litre (country) when towing our 1500kg boat.

We always run the car on 98RON premium unleaded. It's thirstier on normal 91RON unleaded by about 10%. Towing ability takes a dive on normal unleaded.

Hope this helps.

I have a 2001 RX300SE and rest the values on the incar computer when it had its 10k service. By the time the 20k service came round it was telling me I had averaged 23.7 miles per gallon.

The 10k miles include a good mix of (rural) town driving, normal roads, motorways and about 1k miles of towing a largish caravan.

I have to say I am quite happy with these figures :)
