Hi for those that got TTE anti roll bars did you get the bushes changed to uprated ones too?

I got from japan Cusco anti roll bars sent to me few wks ago, front ones are ok as the come with uprated bushes, but the cusco rear anti roll bar didnt come with uprated ones & the garage tried to change it found the standard bushes dont fit that good, well it does fit but it may fail the MOT & Cusco states the rear ones uses standard ones, the rear ones according to Cusco are only 16mm diamater.

Any help be good

Cheers

the rear bar if like mine, is very thick

you need to use a front bar bush and clamp , also you will need a half circle of metal to sit in the oval where the original bar sat, as the new bar is to big to fit in the oval....

OK already have!!

Is the half metal circle thingy also part of the front anti roll bar or do i get them from other sources? i not touched/fitted the front ones yet. Mat is your rear anti roll bar Cusco too?

I didnt know i have to use parts from the front since i read from other sources the Cusco bar is only 1mm thicker than original ones!

Thanks again

erm..... the TRD uprated bush wont fit the rear bar....please read my last post!

Just did a search on anti roll bars & someone said (cant remember who) they heated the bushes slightly or something before fitting it on their TTE anti roll bar? Is this recommended/reqiured??

Mat - i looked at one of your car in the 'garage', the race/drift car it mentions Cusco Drift spec anti roll bars, mine may be different then since i dont think mine are drift spec or atleast it didnt mentiion it anywhere when i bought them.

Thanks

It looks the same as the one on the picture, i did measured the bar earlier & its 16mm diameter too but what i dont get is people with TTE ones are using standard bushes & TTE ones are 17mm diameter as i remember? unless its just down to garage i taken it too..

Oh ok then though i did read somewhere TTE were 17mm. The Cusco ones i got are defo thicker than the OEM ones. Guess i be using the front bushes + brackets as Mat said then! Wish i got the TTE ones now, thought this be so simple!!
