Remapping Ecu

Been talking to a mechanic mate. He runs an IS200.

Was chatting about getting more power etc and he was telling me a bit about remapping. He doesnt know specifics however.

What can be done with the IS200? Are there any significant gains to be made doing it? Where would be the best place be to have it done, small specialist or franchise garage? Anyone know of a good garage in central belt or southern Scotland who do this?

For any who reply, keep it simple and non technical. I can butcher wood, build a trailer from scratch, paint, tile, paper, concrete, block work, cook great curry and fantastic chilli, slate n roof, count to ten without my fingers, put out fires and kill people with my bare hands.

BUT I KNOWS FECK ALL ABOUT ENGINES!!!!

dont put NOS in...

Best way is to loook for parts that come up for sale on the site then 2nd hand.

Start with an exhaust system....and induction.

but hes is looking at trying to gain 50 bhp

on a budget less than £1000

i am not a NOS lover but it is the cheapest and easiest way of getting 50bhp

i will ! you need to dig a bit deeper in those pockets mate to get any decent power upgrade out of the IS200 - tried and tested method is to get the TTE supercharger kit - look for a 2nd hand one about £1500-1600 price range.

Use the search function as ANY question u have will have been covered in the past.

Oh and dont consider buying a mini s supercharger from eBay - it wont fit.
