Mat,

Welcome to the club, first thing to do is join Gold if you want to tweak your car, there are loads of companies listed in there that will do discount of parts and labour, this includes some dealerships that will give you discount off servicing etc

Also check out Torque Developments for some ideas of what you can do to your car. They have done most of the modifications to my car and they provide an excellent service. I know that a number of other members would also back me up when I say they provide an excellent service

Cheers

Mat,

You don't want to put your email address on the forum as you will soon be recieving a vast quantity of junk mail. Apparently their are programmes out their designed to pick up peoples email addresses for spam purposes!!

If you want to see some ideas of other peoples Lexus then have a nosey here: Lexus Members IS200 Gallery

Also with regards to the exhaust the Lexus has such good build quality and soundproofing that I hardly hear my exhaust apart from when I start the car!

Cheers

Si

I too am new to the lexus forum (about 5 mins!). Nice to see the Forum is soooo Friendly!

I own an IS200 sport with Body Kit, sports grill etc, but am thinking of tweeking by engine somehow as I am a little unimpressed with the accelleration (esp in 3rd gear) with the std engine.

Are there any reasonably priced tweeks which could be done to improve this?

PS I know nothing about engines at the moment :withstupid: but learning.........

I was wanting to know if there are 'must do's' which give performance increases with low to mid investments.

Which are the most value for money alterations? ie the ones which give the most performance for your money.

Difficult question I know...........

SL55 AMG - nice car, but Clarkson drives one!

No-one has NOZ'd an IS200 on this site yet but a couple are looking at it, the Supercharger gives you a nice 33% power increase you need to talk to Mark @ TDi about getting yourself one of those, or get the CAT sorted and a decent exhaust on there and that will give you extra BHP, I wouldn't suggest NOZ without doing the rods and pistons, the people in the know on the site have said that the standard ones are weak.
