A Little Red Button

hi everyone

just took delivery of my 1995 lexus ls400 jap import today.been farting about with all the toys and buttons.however there is a little red oblong shaped button on top on the tranny tunnel above and to the right of the gear selector.wondered if anyone knows what it does it has some jap writing on it .this is,nt the only button with jap writing on it in my lexus but the other buttons sort of explain themselves by pushing them and seeing what happens.would apprecitae any info on this.

Don't know if it's the same ....but on my Altezza , that button is the shift lock over ride safety button.... By pressing that button you can move the gear secector without having to press the brake pedal....

Try it and see......

It lets you move the shifter out of park when the engine is not running :D

Ejector seat button!!!!........ i assume the car is a convertible?...... if not press the button and it will be :D
