I'm afraid its not that far away Cops round my way are stopping "boy racers" and getting them to rev the engine to hear if they think it's too loud......

In fairness some of them are just asking to be stopped with really silly spoilers on the back... Sails might be a better word

Thats probably alot easier in Britain where modifieds are more common..... here in Ireland I'm fairly sure any mention of "modified" and alarms bells start ringing..... so they might panic and hike up my policy just in case......

Previous " quotes " i have gotten over the years confirm this......If in doubt RAISE the policy, no competition over here so they can do what they like.......

I don't 100% disagree with them. But surely witht he USA crime figures they would have better things to do......that said, we UK motorists get victimised as easy targets to so bang goes that argument.

I think inspections should be carried out and law be passed that any such mods must be fitted to a quality standard for your safety and others safety and any mods still fall within the VOSA Mot bounderies.
