Switch Front Seats Of 1998 Ls400

Recommended Posts

The ivory colored driver seat of my lexus starts to show wear after 50K miles, the passenger seat is pristine since I most drive it alone. I am thinking of switching the seat, anyone have done this before?

I am aware of seat control buttons, but I assume it is detached from the leather seat itself, am I correct?

How bizarre. My 1992 LS driver's seat had hardly any wear, even after 170k miles. I highly recommend you apply leather cream, food, conditioner etc. to your leather seats on a regular basis to protect them. This is even more necessary, since the car is in a warm part of the world!

The seat control buttons are part of the seat itself.

 I had the front seat of my 1990 LS400 out last Summer when the motor for the reclining back stopped working. It's not a bad job. A couple of floor bolts, disengage the electrics, and it just lifts out.

Some places will re-leather for you. Have you costed that option?
