I do too - on both sides. Didn't notice it until I got a rubber boot mat though!

I can't see any wet patches around the seals or wnything so don't know where it's getting in...

i too get water in both sides ( i hve now removed the rubber bungs) i park on a steep hill facing downwards, i believe that the boot channels each side are filling with water during rain and it is seeping in.

shouldnt do as the seal keeps the water out - check the seal and also that the drain pipes from the sunroof are exiting and attached to the small vents in both rear arches (remove the boot floor cover and you will see them)

Thanks Fluff i will have a look and let you all know.

Please do - I spent ages locked in the boot of my wife's IS (X-Reg) with a torch while she played a hose on various areas - round sunroof, along roof rail, round rear window seal, round boot lid sill - AND NOT A DROP of water made it into the rear offside boot well.

If you're think of trying this take your spare key just in case

  • 2 years later...

I've opened the sunroof and poured water at the sides and it comes out fine by the wheel wells.

It seems more than condensation cuz it's quite bad now. Never really noticed it in the summer

It could be the rear window seal maybe....gonna have to get it into a bodyshop I think
