Hi,

Ive found that the tyres wore more evenly with higher pressures.

I run 40psi in the fronts and 34 to 36 in the rear.

Check the Max tyre pressure on the side of the tyres, different makes of tyre have different settings.

chips..

forget the maximum tyre pressure that is written on the tyre

that is an absolute maximum, and not a recommended

pressure will be car definative

check what the standard tyre recommended pressure is and it wont be too far out

My point was not to over inflate them :)

The lower profile type tyres are squarer to look at up to the higher profile tyres say 65s against say 35 or 40s etc.The higher profile tyres tend to roll under loading in corners but dont wear the tyre edges because theres a curve to the shape of the tyre surface. This new lower profile tyres are designed to reduce tyre roll, but they also generate more grip because they dont roll,so more grip means that theres more loading on the tyre wall so they still want to roll.If you run the tyres at a low pressure on these lower profile tyres then the tyres dont keep there shape under load and roll and thats what causes the edges to wear on the tyre.

Cheers chips..
