Valve Stem Oil Seals Gone On Turbo'd Is200

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

i have recently got my turbo back from the states after being rebuilt under warranty because the oil seals were gone. It had started to whine also like a SC before it was removed so I know it was deffo not right.

The problem is that since I have re-fitted the turbo I am still getting blue smoke from the exhaust. We have put this down to valve stem oil seals. The same thing happened to 2 Honda B16's a B18 and a B20 engine that we did all after getting either turbo'd or SC'd.

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone on here. I think it only affects the engine when running about 0.5bar of boost or more as it never happened at all with the TTE SC fitted.

Well im running .6 Boost and all is ok and my IS has done over 100K miles............the smoke could still be comeing from oil still in the Exhaust, take it for a good long run and see if it go,s I had the same thing with the 1st Turbo i got the oil seals had gone, i had to take the car for a run of about 50-60 miles to get all the oil out the exhaust :winky:
