Snow!

When we first moved into our current house a couple of years ago it snowed and I couldn't get the IS out of our close which is at the bottom of an incline leading up to gates. Never got anywhere near the gates ! :( . All four other cars managed it. They were front wheel drive - I tried going up backwards - putting two heavy bags of sand in the boot - but it was still not having any of it. Now we have salt it shouldn't be a problem but I was suprised at the lack of traction. Once the car was out it was fine though :D

That snow button is a waste of space in opinion ! -

Same problem I had, it seemed worse on roads where the snow had been compacted slightly from other cars and turned to ice, busier roads were fine. Like you I couldn't get out of the close I live in, managed it eventually then got stuck at my parents in the same way (I was going round to pick up the sledge)

Were you getting the sledge to tow your IS home

Think they should relabel the SNOW button to 'SNOW-GOOD' or rewire it so that when it's pressed the car doesn't start so you can't attempt to go out !!

just got in from work.......travelled from Brixton to my hoose in nr woolwich no probs at all

Different story at my house.......drove into drive......thought I was too close to neighbours space .........reversed out and could not move......blocked the bloody road !!!!!!!!

Got spade and removed compacted snow and launched myself into the space.......

Car will not move :P til the stuff disappears

errr think you have the wrong town richard!

I know laods of people who move here becasue there are alot of young people here... the only chance of retiring is early! When you have made loads of money!

I have been for a night out in Bournemouth before and did have a good time, lots of young totty about.
