Eaton M62 Supercharger

Recommended Posts

i have seen an eaton m62 supercharger for sale at far less than i would have expected based on my previous thread, so would like to know if they are any good and also apparently it came off a nissan car, will they fit directly onto any car or will it have to be modified or will it just not fit at all.

also, it came off a car that had done 16000 miles, is it going to need overhauling?

thanks,

andy

the M62 is just the model number - it isnt a standard fit as there are different casings depending if it is an OEM application or like the TTE kit an aftermarket one. Eaton superchargers are sealed for life so dont need servicing - however I would get some photos taken of the lobes of the pumps and post them up here so people can look - if the coatings have come off or if there is sign of oil leakage walk away.

u have to get a photo of the insides of the unit - the bits that rotate -- if there is ANY sign of scrapes, coating material loss etc then walk away.

you will have to make an adaptor for the unit plus the associated pipework - you might also find because of the nose extension for the pulley that you would either have to repalce this for a shorter unit or try and somehow get it to fit in the engine bay somewhere, along with a cradle etc - its not a small job put it that way!
