What fuel do you use, have you run a fuel system cleaner though recently?

Does it do it all the time or just when cold/hot?

Thanks for your reply

I use normal unleaded and have not run any type of fuel system cleaner ( I thought that catalytic converters meant no fuel additives could be used at all) the car is 5 years old now - I would say hot or cold makes no difference but less noticeable cold

thanks

alot of fuel cleaners are good with cats now, it wouldn't hurt running one through.

I use either STP fuel system cleaner or Forte system cleaner, (forte is hard to get hold of) both are safe for cats but if your worried have a read of the bottle, for £5 its worth a try...I normally run one through every 4-5months and engine seems to wake up afterwards and tick over smoother.

I'll bet that the TB is coked up...bit of a PITA to strip down but worth a go.

Also try cleaning the MAF (air flow sensor) with good blast of contact/switch cleaner

I hate to say this but I do not know what the TB is

thanks for your reply

Not sure if resetting the ECU would help but you could try that first.
