Car Starting Up Then Cutting Out..

Recommended Posts

If it is the TTE sub ecu Pip, you are better off replacing it with the HKS equivalent which is much cheaper and better quality (sometimes it is possible to get a free replacement from TTE but they aren't great quality TBH)

mark would this be an hks fcd ?

Yes Barrie. They are £85 plus vat and are in stock (with wiring info).

The adjustment does affect the a/f ratio so be careful what you do with it.

cheers Mark

fortunetly i have one sitting in the garage that i can use,

any idea on what setting would work best or at least safely until set up properly ?

need to get the car MOT`d, so i can buy some tax for it :crybaby:

hi Barry - I thought u had the newer ECU fitted not the black ECU so couldnt help u. Suggest contacting TTE for a replacement and see if that solves the problem.

i presume i have the black box, it was the original one as fitted at TDI when it was first installed, never had a problem with it

well not untill recently
