Hi Dboey,

I just had a 60,000 Mile service and aksed for the cam belt to be changed. The dealer did tell me it doesn;'t need to be done until 100.000 miles but I wanted it doen anyway. :withstupid:

They gave me the old one and it looked almost new. No signs of wear and tear at all!

I will beleive them next time! :whistling:

This is one of the reasons i bought the LEX

CAM BELT IS GUARANTEED for 100k and

spark plugs for 60k wether its out of warranty

or not.lots of peeps buy s/hand so if you bought one

with 50k you've still got min 4yrs motoring before

cam/belt needs changing(on average mileage),dont know

how much standard plugs are though.

Pete :D

I was advised by my dealer to change belt at 60,000 miles. Service book on mine says 150,000 MILES. Decided to change it anyway. You should have seen the state of it. Wasn't another 1000 miles on it. Seems the tensioner pulley bearing was knackered and was throwing the belt againt the outside plastic cover .... it was worn down to 3/4 of an inch.

A very lucky escape ....
