Hello all,

My lovely LS400 1994 has just failed the MOT, they say that "The nearside and offside front suspension joint has excessive play in a lower suspension ball joint"

OK I understand what this means but does anybody know how expensive it is to get done?

Also on the advisory sheet they say, "Nearside and offside rear bonded suspension deteriorated but can function as intended".

I have not got a clue what that means or if it's expensive, has anybody any ideas please?

Hi,

Lower balljoints are not too bad either on price or fitting as they bolt onto the lower arm.

There are plenty of sites doing them or buy from Lexus.

Here is a link showing what's involved ( picture 4 shows the actual part that needs replacing)
