Ebay Bargain

Just wanted to let you guy know that bargains can still be had on eBay. A year or so ago I picked up a brand new set of 4 x 18" TTE 9 spoke Chicane alloys for £200 (plus £20 courier). I thought that was excellent.........but only had 4, then I found another identical single TTE Chicane some months later for £9.99 YES you read that right £9.99 !!!!!!

Yesterday I was watching another single TTE Chicane on eBay that had a start price of £20, but I forgot about the ending time and missed it. However it didn't sell....unreal for £20 no one wanted it??? So I contacted the seller this morning and asked if it was still for sale, which he told me yes, so I have bought it.

Now you must admit having a brand new alloy for £20 is better than paying £40+ for a refurb on an old wheel, so I'll keep it as a 2nd spare.

Alloy looks sweet, i am thinks of changing my original ones (flaking like crazy) and buying something else.. Like the ones you have pictured ;)

Where did you buy the full set from please? and do these suffer from the Lexus flaking virus too?

They came off eBay mate, at the time I think the guy had 2 sets, but you really do have to keep looking as most of the time it is a one off auctiuon.

As for flaking, well mine are fine so far, as I understand the TTE alloys are made in Germany (please correct me if I'm wrong guys) therefore they should be more robust than alloys made/sprayed in Japan.

Folks I am in the market for a set of four 18 inch Lexus GS300 Sport alloys for a MK1. With or without tyres. Dont mind if they need a refurb as I do them myself. Cheers. :D

hehe joing the club on the mk1 18's. m8, ive been on and off looing for a set of 10's on eBay ever since i bought the car about 4 years ago :)
