Update Re Our Gs300 Is Dead.

Sorry guys and thanks to all who showed interest. It seems that our insurers wont sell us the car back as it is a danger and a catagory B write off. I am fuming as i didnt want to rebuild it, just remove parts that work but they wont have it.

so sorry guys to all who wanted bits but our lovely car is going to be crushed....and I need a pint or two to get over it!

im sorry to hear your car has been writen off.

however, i'd give the insurance company hell for crushing it without letting you take bits off it.

what difference does it make? they arent making money by crushing bits you've put on the car.

call them and speak to a manager or if they are close to you drive down and throw a brick at them! demand that you strip the car before they crush it!

find out from the garage where/who is collecting it to be crushed then speak to them direct....

They wont just crush it, they will sell it to an authorised salvage agent who will then break it for spares, cat B = break only. If they wanted to be nice they could let you know which agent they use, but I guarantee the parts wont be cheap as the breaker will know what they are gonna make.
