Is200 Se Sat Nav

when i am driving my is200 se the sat nav locks up and does not let me put in any address does anyone know a way round this? it is a cd rom base and the model is 2000 of my is! thanks

there is only one way that i know of...

thats to cut the speed sensor wire, but doing that and you wonder how accurate its going to be.

I was also wondering about this too I opten go on long journeys with the missus who knows how to use the sat nav and its a bit inconvenient having to pull over to check something when she can do it from the passenger seat whilst changing cd's and reading a book

this might be of some help, however you'll need to do this everytime you are using your sat nav before the journey.

Yep with the mk1 IS, there is only the temporary mod as in the link above - need to do that everytime you start up.

The other option is to cut the speed sensor wire and add a switch, which would mean you cut temporarily cut it whenever you need to use the satnav, and then switch it back on again once you're done.

Has anyone actually done the second option by the way? Is the speed sensor wire somewhere easily accessible?

just to note, the mod in that link, is for the DVD version of the mk1 IS, the CD version doesnt have an option to override in the secret menu.

Thats right, Vyker is right the above link is only for the dvd version!
