Q - Which Engine will drop straight into our cars, without having to

1) change the transmittion

2) mess about with the wiring

Another is200 engine :P

You can make any engine fit (within reason) but you are going to have to do 1 & 2 on your list :D

HaHa..

So No other Engines simply "slot into its place" even if i chnage the gearbox?

Obviously rear wheel drive car would be needed for a transplant..

I was actually looking at the old supra Lump.. Prices look resonable :shifty:

The old 2L supra block is more or less the same, but with better bottom end, the top is different as the is200 have vvti, Dave has some for sale.

And as you may know some have fitted the 3L supra tt engine in the is200, and even the V8 engine, but then you have to go back to 1 & 2 :D

What I was thinking about doing is the Franking Stine.

The old supra bottom end.. with a VVTI head.

Ive been looking at the supra conversion.. - All that power to the rear wheels! haha

-

The reason why i have bought this post up .. becuase I am just trying to find out which Engines work in our car's with the current Transmittion.

> Obviously sensors and more wiring extentions would need to be done..

In the day of my Honda racing vtec roaring young youth :P

The engine Honda's were based on D series B series H series K series engines

The parts on this blocks / transmitions were interchangble within the series.

Now the 1G Series Engines made by toyota.. do they work on the same principle..

and who is Dave?

You will find most car companys work the same with interchagable engines.

The main problem you are going to have is the ecu and wiring, its a bit more and complex than just sensors & extentions :duh:

Fitting the engine is the easy bit :D

Aside from the same engine the answer is none.

Regarding your ? on eBay I get 20/30 a day most of which are, unfortunately, people with nothing better to do.

I'm not saying you fall into that category.

Unless you are going F/I then you want the V8 from the LS400/430/460.

Whatever you are looking at doing you are looking at serious expenditure.

Buy the silver aristo TT on here ...with the bits and pieces on going with it you'll have a car that a Porker GT3 can't overtake on the Brands Hatch straight :whistling:
