O,k I need help, the bulb has just blown in the main interior light which comes on when the door is opened.. how do you get into it to replace the bulb? i was hoping the clear plastic cover would pop off .. but cant see how it can( thats if i can)

Jac, I know you don't have a mk2 GS but from what I know about our cars is that everything just snaps off... Try alittle harder, I'm sure it'll give.. But after reading this thread I decided to go outside and snap a couple of pics because I'm not sure which GS Woofit has... So here are 2 pics of the Dome light for you Woofit.. I hope this helps... Here's the first pic...

Thank you for that Mr sypher I call lexus this afternoon an was able to do it..thin screwdriver and very carefully :D

After doing it I can see that the bulb is o.k :sad: so i can only imagine that the switch has gone

Many thanks for the piccies. I'm currently offshore, so when i get back that will be the 1st thing i do...well, maybe not quite the 1st thing !

I drive a mk1 GS by the way, wonderful vehicle that puts a smile on the old face every time that right foot goes down ! :D

Anytime guys...

I see you all like the Blue LED domelight I have... It has taken me a long time to find those but, after I did I bought 20 of them.... So if you guys want one let me know and I'll give them up for a few bucks... Depending on shipping accross the world.. :phone::phone:

Hi guys... Managed to get my interior light to glow blue like mr syphers..... I just popped the clear lens of and lined it with a sheet of transparent blue plastic that i cut to shape.. :D .. got an added bonus of a slight purple tinge from certain angles due to the plastic being slightly ribbed. Also had a look at the red door lights and think i can do something with them as well :D

Well if you come up with an idea to turn the door lights from red to blue...

The Red Door lights on my car are hard red plastic I dont think much can be done to change the colour without chaning the whole thing.

but im going to hope I get an Easter egg with some blue transparent plastic to mod my interior light with :)
