hi

i have a repair procedure for the Pioneer Stereo fitted to the Mark 3 LS400 in PDF format - it comes with detailed instructions and diagrams on what to replace - if its any help let me know and i will email it to you.

If you car is older then it might be worth spending £2 and getting a repair manual from here www.manualsparadise.com - Again they wil email you a Full instructions and diagrams in PDF format.

and still no joy, any idea what could be causing it?

Please don't be offended ( if you are familiar with electronics very sorry) but did you fit them the correct way round as Electrolytic capacitors are polarised i.e they have a negative and a positive leg and they do not like being reversed.

Also did you get the right values on the resistors/capacitors? Just checking.

Also what year car is your LS?

there was a thread previously

we replaced c212 c147 and c.... cant remember

got the capacitors from maplins, we couldnt get an exact martching for the timing one but got one with a slightly higher capcitance which shouldnt affect things....
