Need New Shocks!

Hello!

I've recently suffered from knocking from the front suspension. This weekend I had a look at it and found a leeking shock, that's most likely where the sound comes from, right?? My car is lowered with eibach(tte or trd) the standard ones from lexus. Since the car is lower then standard the shocks have a different operating range and I quess they don't like that to much :) So what shocks should I get that can cope the eibach springs. I'm not after a stiff...stiffer ride :) I'm happy the way it is or if it's possible to get more comfort with the same handeling thats fine by me.

Help please!!

/Martin

check this link out £94.69 +VAT brand new for a pair of KYB shocks.. which im pretty sure are the OEM manufacuturer.

I ordered a set for my IS200 when i had it from them due to a leaky shock and it made a massive difference to the handling.

Cant recomend them enough.. hope this helps

But won't the OEM ones breakdown again due the wrong operating range?? I will not change the springs and get a SUV :)

I've spoken to Lexus now in Stockholm and they say that some oil leeking is ok as long as it isn't to much and cause the shock to loose its funktion. They also said that the shock shouldn't be damaged by the shorter eibach springs. The guy didn't think that my knocking problem had anything to do with the shock, from what I told him anyway, so I quess time will tell if something is wrong. I would like to sort the knocking problem though.

Anyone thoughts on this??

Could be your antiroll bar drop link on the side its knocking...

Yes it could be, I've taken a quick look at it but didn't find anything, it's hard without the proper tools. I will probably change them, can't be that expensive and hopefully it will do the trick.
