I went to get my docs together for a new tax disc and gound out the MOT had expired over a monmth ago!!

quickly booked it in for today and was very nervous...

Sailed through!! even let the private plate pass as the way it was printed on the docket matched how i had it spaced.. even though it was spaced wrong!! nice man!!

handbrake needs adjusting which i knew from when i did my rear brakes but was only an advisory..

quick questoion though, both front balljoints had 'uplift' is this correct on the IS or is it a sign they are on there way out.. engineer couldnt remember but wasnt a fail on it anyway...

Thats why theres a sticker on the MOT certificate that you can peel off and stick onto the windscreen (from inside!) to remind you when your MOTs due lol. I only noticed this when looking at mine yesterday...these are the worst months of the year for me....Road Tax ends this month, MOT in July and Insurance...

not sticking anything anywhere!! normally do tax n mot at same time cause the reminder reminds me to check my docs!!

Do you know how much in advance you can do the MOT? like i got a month to go , but could i do the MOT now? Obviously the new MOT will be dated a month forward. Is there a limit of like 2 weeks or something in advance?

you can do it now and they will just date it for when the current runs out,im pretty sure of it

4 weeks prior to expiry. If it passes, your new certificate will expire on the same date as old one but the following year, so you actually have 13 months MOT. I had just done this on my 300 Sport when I sold it.
