2 And A Half Weeks To Fix A Cd Player?

Recommended Posts

For those of you that read my previous post(s) re the error with my 220d CD player,Yes the same problem as the old IS (changer sticking)

My local dealer (no names) Told me it would be around a week for it to be fixed as the CD player had to be sent away for repair they gave me a courtesy car as none of my sat nav air con etc etc would work,

Although I love driving around in the courtesy 250 sel Auto...... its 2 and half weeks later and they still don't know when its going to be repaired I've phoned 3 times and each time they have needed to order another new part and they'll call me when its done

I mean come on how long can it take to fix a Cd player? I'm actually starting to think something more sinister is going on with my car sounds stupid but hey!!!

Rant over.

They did suggest swapping the stereo with one of theirs but then told me it wasn't an option so gave me the courtesy car

As my warranty is an extended warranty they don't automatically replace the stereo with a new one :crybaby: they have "apparently" had to find a stereo specialist to fix the broken part......

Watch this space

Why don't they swap the CD with the one in a courtesy car for you until yours is fixed ......... then just call you back in to swap them over? I just down understand people sometimes ;)
