Hey Gents.

I have a problem! My car got vandalised. My drivers headlamp smashed and my bumber damaged. Got the insurance to sort it. It went into the bodyshop and it was out in no time. Got a nice shiney new headlight and a new bumper.

I noticed that night that when i switched on my dipped beam....the high beam would come on too!! Just two clicks on the light stalk from the steering column would turn on both my high beams AND my dipped. It even indicates so on the dash! I have an HID conversion kit. it wasnt damaged and i've had them for well over a year so i'm certain they are not to blame. I asked the body shop to look into it, after all they did fanny about with the bulbs when replacing the headlight unit. They deny everything. " We're a body shop, not elictricians!" Right-o!! The refuse to take the car in. The say my HID's are not covered by my insurance.

I have checked every fuse in the car. Every fuse. They are all fine. I have swapped ballasts all round and all that good stuff....the headlight bulbs all work. I just cannot understand what the prob could be. So i'm pouring my heart out to you guys hoping someone can help!

Cheers.

Chris

today is the first time i looked on here and asked. i had only asked local garages. The sound sort of similar. But my lights switch off fine. its just when you turn them on that it happens. I just thought it was suspiscious after the car went in for work.
