Alarm?

i have is200 sport with nav

i was driving saturday when radio beeped once station i was listening to was muted and Alarm came up on the radio display nothing else happened i pressed the station button and all went back to normal

anyone know whats this is before talk to dealer?

Its something to do with a Goverment system i think, Like an Emergency thing in case something Major happens.

They'll test it every now and again and you must have just been in the right area.

Yep.

Its normal and a built in feature of most car systems.

Either a false trigger, or the government warning test signal. (PTY code 31). In a real emergency your radio will override cd/tape, etc. and switch to the transmitting broadcaster.

thought it may have been a problem with the sat nav to start with.
