What Proportion Of Is200/300 Are Is300?

Does anyone know what proportion of the IS200/IS300 series are the IS300?

My car is feeling a bit lonely as he hasn't seen another IS300 on the road in 10 months of motoring. I show him pics from Autotrader, but he says it's not the same thing at all............

there arnt many is300s, in the UK.

the coupling of the 3litre engine with the auto was never a great idea, in regards to generating sales

I'm sure somebody actually found this out a few months ago from Lexus GB (can't seem to find the thread) and the number was tiny - remember comparing it to the IS-Fs limited numbers of 150 per year and over its 4-5 year life it was actually more exclusive!

If you include how many must have been written off, etc, there really can't be that many around anymore :shutit:

Would guess it would be no less than for every 1- IS300 their are 10-IS200s...probably alot more!

I can't remember ever seeing an IS300 about, not unless it was debadged anyway.

One thing I've always wondered about the IS300 is do they sound any different to the IS200? One thing I like about the IS200 is it sounds like a proper six cylinder motor even though it's small capacity. It sounds much like like a sixpot than the 2.5V6 that was in my ZS180. Although that engine does sound a lot better in the bigger ZT.
