I've got one that I got off Maplin a while back, a 150watt one which has worked with no problems so far. Don't use it that often to be honest, and only for things like charging laptop/video camera/etc...........

As redz says, depends what you want to do with it as this will dictate the power rating you require, but I'd recommend Maplin as the equipment is usually decent quality and quite fairly priced.

Thanks for the replies Guys - it's for a motability scooter. It has two 12v 12Ah batteries. The charger is 24V 2A according to the manual if that helps! I know diddly squat about electronics/electrical stuff so any pointers will be gratefully received.

you will need to find ot what the power consumption is in watts should be noted somewhere on the unit..#

not sure if it will charge a mobility scooter though

If I remember my GCSE electronics correctly, isn't it P=IV, and therefore the above has power consumption of 48W?

I'm sure I've oversimplified it, but either way I'm sure if it's just a charger you're running, something like the one I've got should be fine.
