As with any product like this try it on a small unseen area first to make sure you are happy with the results.

I might try the Meguers stuff - is it difficult to apply (I had a nightmare using T-Cut once...).

I had the scratches on my car machine compounded by a mobile car valeter and was really pleased with the results. It cost me £55 incl. a full valet.

The problem is that the Lexus has a clear coat painted finish. I was always under the impression that you should never use a T-cut type paste on clear coat paints.

Is the Meguiars Scratch X compatible with clear coat paint finishes?

Not sure it is or not - but like with any T-cut/Safe Cut/Scratch-X kind of product, you should ALWAYS apply at least 3 coats of polish to the area to re-coat.

I have had no issues using scratch X and Safe cut on my IS2 thus far....
