New Warranty Question!

Hi guys, been looking at the 5 star warranty for my 3.0 GS300 (its 11 years old so I can just about get cover for it!)

http://www.click4warranty.co.uk/

They are saying it will be covered to the glasses guide price of the car?

Thing is.....The car needs new ball joints/suspension parts as it creaks and stuff.

You think I go for it? Its £260 for a year.

Also thinking of getting tyre insurance for 2 years £160 as they cover against punctures for 5 claims of £250 per tyre..... from another site

What are ure opinons on this?

The first is:

Click4Warranty Mechanical Breakdown Insurance
... i.e. breakdown. So it will only cover you if the car breaks down, so for suspension that means something physically breals / collapses.

Tyre cover normally ponly covers you for a % depending on how much tread is left, puncture repair costs about £8 when it can be repaired so do the mathematics.

In my opinion, extended warranties are no different to the lottery - it's just a gamble. You may spend £x amount on a warranty and never use it and think what a waste of money it was or you might buy it and then the next week the engine falls out of the car and the warranty sorts it all out for you.

If you buy it you may never use it, if you don't you may regret it. Simple as that. Ask yourself the question - is it better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it?
