Hello,

I have a couple of LED sidelights from the old car, and was looking to put them in the 250.

But how on earth do you get into the back of the headlight? I only looked at the drivers side and could get nowhere near removing the old bulbs. So gave up.

Any advice?

Cheers

Take the front engine cover off. Push down on each fixing tab and they then just pull out.

Over where the lamps plug in, there is a plastic cover with metal strengthener on it. Look down and you will see it unclips. Bit awkward to get back on again the first time you do it.

When you put the engine cover back on, you need to make sure you push the inners of the clips up so they are protruding out of the top of their holders. Then put them in place and push down so they are flush.

Head lights are a pain for us driving instructors. Trying to change a headlight in one minute because of a bulb failure often ends in removed knuckles and an examiner who looks like they have the hump. The Renault Modus is a dealer job when you need a bulb changed. It's a bumper off afair apparently. I don't even know how you would go about it on my LS430.
